SCHOOL OF FASHION
Bitten by the marketing bug after working in NYC’s brand-savvy hip-hop industry, Booker moved to Toronto in ’07 and connected with new media/branding specialist Brian Boigon (currently chair of University of Toronto Architecture), who had also recently moved to Toronto from New York. Under Brian’s tutelage, Booker project managed and co-authored an in-depth strategy to help bring Canada’s premier fashion school in line with today’s brand and web-centric fashion industry, and included physical, technological and philosophical dimensions.
The market crash prevented the expensive project from coming to fruition, but it was well received by the Ryerson School of Fashion faculty and board and enabled Booker to work with Brian on this and other projects — as well as delve deeper into fashion, branding, new media and technology — all fields he is passionate about.
Excepts from the plan coming soon to Booker’s blog.
